Dan Dailey - Voyage
Dan Dailey hired me to design and build a responsive lighting system for Voyage, a large-scale glass and metal sculpture permanently installed at 555 Fifth Avenue in New York City. The piece, shaped like a monumental clock face, spans 14 feet in diameter and is suspended in the building’s lobby atrium. I created a lighting system that animates the sculpture from within, responding to changing environmental conditions and time of day to bring the piece to life. Working closely with Dan and his team, I helped integrate the lighting seamlessly into the sculpture’s structure without compromising its intricate design or visibility from the street. The result is a dynamic, glowing centerpiece that shifts in character throughout the day and night.
