In 2022, I helped build the dome structure for Automatic Subconsious, a long-running theme camp at Burning Man known for its prominent placement, massive dome, and iconic sound and visual experiences. I was part of the core build crew, responsible for fabricating upgrades and assembling the geodesic dome that served as the camp’s main offering space. My role included remaking and prepping struts, contributing to the overall build strategy, and managing on-site assembly in Black Rock City’s uniquely challenging conditions. It was equal parts math, muscle, and dust—a true collective effort that turned raw geometry into magic.
